Proposed Bempton Lane Roundabout

East Riding of Yorkshire Council are proposing to construct a new roundabout on Bempton Lane, Bridlington. The new roundabout is being built to provide future access for housing developments on either side of Bempton Lane.
As things stand, we are awaiting funding confirmation, should this be announced soon, we plan to commence works in early July ’24, with an expected completion date of early Feb ’25.
In order to construct the roundabout, for safety reasons, we plan to close the section of Bempton Lane in the vicinity of the works. Please see attached drawing E1324-100-010, which shows the approximate location of the roundabout, the closure extents and the diversion route. The closure will take place between 2nd September ’24 to 20th December ’24 and between 5th January ’25 to 26th January ’25. Local traffic is also permitted to use Jewison Lane, Short Lane and Newsham Hill Lane as a diversion route.
I apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. ERYC
